HBA have completed Sweco’s new flagship UK workplace for their 100no. London-based staff in Moorgate.

 

The new workspace occupies the ground and lower ground floors of Eldon House, just behind Liverpool St station and has a unique entrance experience.

 

The ground floor space is split by a semi-external courtyard entrance with exposed brickwork. The southern wing provides a reception and greeting hub for staff to host clients in an informal space overlooking the street. The kitchen island doubles up as a reception desk and loose seating gives the space a cafe ambience. A flexible room off this space can be used as a studio for staff classes or a boardroom for large, formal meetings. 

 

The northern wing provides 5no. dedicated meeting rooms of various sizes for more private meetings. The floors are linked by a semi-external double-height courtyard with feature metal stair suspended from the floor above. High-level windows allow daylight to penetrate the lower ground floor along with pavement lights integrated into the new entrance bridge.

The lower ground floor provides a variety of flexible workstations for staff and also includes a large staff kitchen and 6no. phone booths integrated into the original pavement vaults.
