HBA were appointed on a tight programme by a serviced office provider to refurbish the entrance, common parts and main atrium of this hidden gem.

 

Despite the historic facade, the interior was modern, but lacked character with the central atrium only animated by small projecting balconies from the existing office floors. The base of the atrium was an artificially illuminated glass 'dance' floor over the original rooflight serving the ground floor bank.

 

The atrium was completely remodelled, adding perimeter walkways to all floors to improve circulation and flexibility, while maximising usable office area. Breakout spaces and meeting rooms were also created in the atrium to further animate the space and the base of the atrium was reconfigured as a snug meeting areas and workspaces.

The core was reconfigured to provide additional WCs on each floor and kitchenettes

 

New glazed oak panelled doors with feature glass and painted timber wall panelling complete a sophisticated and welcoming aesthetic
